Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edin Dzeko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Adebisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon Adebisi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Edin Dzeko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Adebisi!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dzeko blocks a low kick nicely.

Dzeko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Adebisi, pushing him back against the cage.

Adebisi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dzeko displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Adebisi throws out the jab.
Dzeko blocks a jab.
Adebisi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dzeko gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Adebisi lands a body shot.
Adebisi has Dzeko pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dzeko manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Adebisi is trying to break free.
Adebisi can't break the clinch.
Dzeko lands a knee to the body.

Adebisi manages to break the clinch.
Adebisi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dzeko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dzeko scores with a body shot.
Simon Adebisi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dzeko closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dzeko lands in his opponent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dzeko passes into half guard.

Dzeko is working for a kimura but Adebisi is defending it quite comfortably.
Dzeko trying to control the action but Adebisi is working from the bottom.
Adebisi wants to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dzeko wants to stand up but Adebisi has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Dzeko trying to control the action but Adebisi is working from the bottom.

Adebisi looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Dzeko pushes past his half guard into mount!
Adebisi tries to hold on but Dzeko pushes him away.
Adebisi is trying desperately to improve position.
Dzeko is landing with some decent strikes but Adebisi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Adebisi tries to improve his position but instead Dzeko has taken his back!

Adebisi is really stuck here.
Adebisi looks gassed!
Dzeko trying to control momentarily.
Dzeko is hanging on to Adebisi's back as he tries to escape.
Dzeko tries to get the hooks in deep but Adebisi pushed the leg off.

Adebisi is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Dzeko gets his way!
Adebisi controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Dzeko.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Adebisi manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dzeko's guard. Nice work there by Adebisi.
Dzeko is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Adebisi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Adebisi is looking to stand up but Dzeko won't let him.
Adebisi working some strikes from top position.

Adebisi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dzeko, up you get!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Dzeko.
Adebisi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Adebisi misses with a left hand
and Dzeko counters with an outside leg kick.
A lazy body kick from Adebisi
and Dzeko counters with a nice body kick.

Adebisi has closed the distance and engaged Dzeko in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edin Dzeko dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Adebisi misses with the combination.
Adebisi steps into range and cracks Dzeko with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Dzeko flops backwards and Adebisi dives into his guard looking to finish!


Dzeko is rocked!

Adebisi gets to his feet. Dzeko looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Oh Dzeko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Adebisi fakes the body blow, causing Dzeko to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Dzeko goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Simon Adebisi!
