Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hurricane Bowers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robert McLovin!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowers misses with a takedown attempt - McLovin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

McLovin moves into the clinch successfully.
McLovin tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bowers tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McLovin just stands there and leans against the cage.
McLovin tries a knee to the head but Bowers blocks it.
Bowers working hard to break the clinch.
Bowers landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Bowers prevents McLovin from breaking the clinch.

McLovin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bowers closes the distance and clinches.

Bowers not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McLovin wants to stand but Bowers is controlling his posture from full guard.

Bowers has his feet on McLovin's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
McLovin looks gassed!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McLovin keeping full guard, as Bowers tries to pass.
Bowers wants to control from the top but McLovin keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McLovin darts in and clinches Bowers up against the cage.
Bowers controlling the action here for a moment.
McLovin is trying to force a seperation but Bowers has the dominant position.
McLovin tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

McLovin breaks the clinch.
McLovin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bowers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bowers shoots in but McLovin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bowers doesn't manage to clinch there - McLovin circles away.
Hurricane Bowers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McLovin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bowers circles away quickly and effectively.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McLovin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McLovin drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Bowers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McLovin pushes Bowers off looking to stand but Bowers dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Bowers tests McLovin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bowers shoots in but McLovin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


McLovin looks to clinch

and Bowers counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bowers.

McLovin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McLovin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bowers paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McLovin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
An inside leg kick lands from Bowers.
McLovin tries a head kick but it misses.
Bowers lands a nice hook to McLovin's body. McLovin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A right-left combo lands from Bowers.
Bowers fails with a takedown attempt.
Bowers closes this distance looking for a takedown but McLovin circles away.
McLovin throws a head kick that misses.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

McLovin clinches.

Bowers slows down the pace here.

McLovin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McLovin misses with a head kick.
Bowers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McLovin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McLovin tries to clinch there but Bowers circles away.

McLovin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bowers controls the pace.

Bowers decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McLovin, up you get!

and Bowers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bowers passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bowers gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
McLovin misses with a kick to the body
and Bowers counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. McLovin is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Robert McLovin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hurricane Bowers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
McLovin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hurricane Bowers showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bowers has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
