Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Randerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apongo Sing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Randerson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Apongo Sing!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randerson shoots in and drives through. Sing sprawls well.
Sing shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Randerson counters with a single leg into guard. Sing didn't expect that.
Randerson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Randerson looking to break Sing's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Sing remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Randerson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

I really don't envy Sing right now.
Sing is trying to get back to his feet but Randerson has full control of the position and if anything, Sing has just worked his way into a worse spot.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sing wants to stand and escape but Randerson is having none of it.

Randerson drops back looking for a leg! Sing is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sing manages to kick Randerson off! Randerson jumps back into Sing's guard.

Apongo Sing showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sing thows a huge punch but Randerson dodges it nicely.
Randerson won't allow Sing to pass to mount.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Randerson leaves Sing with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Randerson is looking for a sweep.
Sing lands a few punches from side control.
Sing prevents Randerson from escaping the position.
You can see the frustration on Randerson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ground and pound from Sing seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Randerson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Randerson counters with a nice body shot.

Randerson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Randerson misses with a few strikes there.
Sing tries to score a power double leg takedown but Randerson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sing somewhat.
Randy Randerson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Apongo Sing.
Randerson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sing paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Randerson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Randerson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sing pushes Randerson off looking to stand but Randerson dives back in and keeps control.
Randerson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Randerson is really struggling to control Sing but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Randerson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sing keeping moving, preventing Randerson from controlling successfully.

Sing has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Randerson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Randerson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Randerson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Randerson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sing avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Sing kicks Randerson off and gets to his feet.
Sing shoots in for a takedown but Randerson shows good takedown defense.

and Sing decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Randerson's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
