Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Emerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Triad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emerson tries to work over Triad's front leg with a kick but Triad checks it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Emerson is trying to stand back up but Triad is controlling him

Emerson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Triad counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Triad closes the distance but Emerson moves to the side
and Emerson makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Triad really felt that one!

and Triad decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Emerson's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Emerson has control of Triad's left arm, preventing Triad from doing any damage.

Emerson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Triad can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Emerson has his foot on Triad's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Triad works his way back into a safe position though.

Johnny Triad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nate Emerson.
