Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johny Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Naked (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "Firestarter" by The Prodigy. Naked has chosen I Want You as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buck Naked!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Naked checks it well.
Burns cracks the inside of Naked's front leg.
Naked misses with an attempted mid kick.
Burns avoids the head kick by Naked.

Burns feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Burns looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Burns throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Burns thows a huge punch but Naked dodges it nicely.
Naked pushes Burns off looking to stand but Burns dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Burns throws a hook to the side of Naked's head but Naked sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Good leg kick by Naked there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Burns looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Naked!

Burns jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Naked is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Naked and Burns has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Naked is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Burns working the ground and pound but Naked is defending the strikes.
Naked managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Burns.
Burns tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Burns swings around for an armbar but Naked sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Burns's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Burns stuns Naked with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Naked throws a leg kick that misses.
Naked throws a leg kick which misses Burns's front leg but catches the back leg as Burns tries to avoid it.

Burns throws a sloppy head kick and Naked moves out of range easily.
Burns tries to score a power double leg takedown but Naked sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Burns somewhat.
Naked throws and low kick but Burns moves out of range easily.
Burns walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Johny Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Naked counters with an outside leg kick.

Naked tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Burns is able to avoid easily.

Naked feints and then cracks Burns's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Burns down.
