The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hardy throws a body punch but Efron moves out of range.
Hardy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Efron did well to prevent Hardy getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hardy passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Efron!
Hardy is working for a guillotine from mount but Efron frees his head quite easily.
Efron can't escape the position.
Efron is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Efron defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hardy.

Hardy is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hardy extends the arm and Efron is forced to tap!
