Steele is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Christian. Shogun Gracie has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

No joy there for Steele, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Steele connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gracie. Gracie circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Steele goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Gracie looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steele but Steele pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Steele throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie.

Steele shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard.

Steele drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Steele jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Steele has passed into side control.

Shogun Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gracie throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Steele has his hands clasped together but Gracie breaks the hold and Steele is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gracie!
