Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vanderson Silvva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michal Poloski! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silvva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silvva lands in his opponent's guard. Silvva trying to control the position from guard on top but Poloski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silvva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Poloski is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silvva, into his guard. Silvva trying to keep a closed guard but Poloski is proving a slippery customer.
Poloski looking to sit in guard and control but Silvva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Silvva wants to control from the top but Poloski keeps moving. Silvva's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poloski throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Silvva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Poloski works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Silvva throws a big right hand that misses. Silvva postures up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Poloski, right into the meat.
Poloski throws a one two combo.
Michal Poloski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silvva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Poloski with a lazy takedown attempt and Silvva counters with a shoot takedown. Poloski fights it but they end up in guard. Silvva drops back looking for a leg! Poloski is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Poloski manages to kick Silvva off! Silvva jumps back into Poloski's guard. Silvva stopping the sweep attempt from Poloski. Poloski looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poloski can't keep his opponent in guard - Silvva advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Silvva wants to free his trapped foot but Poloski is holding on for dear life with his legs. Poloski is not content to let Silvva control the position. Silvva seems to be working for a kimura but Poloski defends the submission attempt. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Poloski wants to get back to full guard. Poloski is refusing to be controlled, as Silvva sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silvva prevents Poloski from improving his position. Silvva missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Silvva maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Poloski could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Silvva has cracked it and Poloski is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Silvva!
