Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Power Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monster Draon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Power Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Monster Draon!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a nice looking combination but Draon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Draon scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Draon works his way into side control.
Silva is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Draon is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Draon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Draon is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Silva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Draon moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Silva has worked his arm free - good work by Silva!

Draon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Draon is not content to let Silva control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Silva fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Draon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Draon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Silva lands a couple of shots from the bottom.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Monster Draon will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

It looks like Monster Draon has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Draon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Power Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Silva tries to score with a low kick but Draon moves his leg out of the way.
Draon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown. Draon fights it but they end up in guard.
Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Draon pushes Silva off and gets back to his feet.
Silva lands with a straight right. Draon didn't see that one coming.

Silva throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Silva tries to clinch but Draon moves away

and Draon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Draon wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
Draon advances to mount.
Draon is trying to control here but Silva has managed to regain half guard.
Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Draon is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Draon looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Draon jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Silva is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Silva and Draon has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

You can see the frustration on Silva's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Draon jumps guard and drags Silva to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Draon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Draon's legs - danger averted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Power Silva dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Monster Draon's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Draon is working for a kimura but Silva is defending it quite comfortably.
Silva wants to control but Draon is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Draon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Draon is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer.

Draon has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.
Draon has a closed guard, preventing Silva from standing up.
Draon lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silva!
Poor strikes thrown by Draon there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Silva is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Silva tries to lock up and control but Draon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Silva is trying to escape the mount but Draon keeps good control and instead manages to take Silva's back.

Draon is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Silva won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Draon off his unconscious opponent!
