Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adriano Flamenguista! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Merk Romero! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flamenguista fails to land the takedown. Flamenguista looks for a takedown but Romero sprawls well. Romero tries for a takedown but Flamenguista sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Romero closes the distance and pushes Flamenguista back into the cage. Romero fails to pull guard.
Romero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Flamenguista just stands there and leans against the cage. Adriano Flamenguista has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Merk Romero. Flamenguista is trying to drag Romero to the mat but Romero just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Romero has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Flamenguista avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Romero comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Flamenguista is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Romero tries to pull guard but Flamenguista won't allow it.

Flamenguista gets control of Romero's arms and successfully pulls guard. Flamenguista will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Romero has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Flamenguista is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flamenguista trying to keep a closed guard but Romero is proving a slippery customer.
Flamenguista tries to land a sweep but no joy. Flamenguista is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Flamenguista manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Flamenguista wants to control the pace but Romero is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Romero wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Flamenguista has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Romero taps furiously! This one is all over!
