The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
K looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
K tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kilgore paws at him with a jab and circles away.

K drives through with a takedown into guard.

K drops back looking for a leg! Kilgore is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kilgore manages to kick K off! K jumps back into Kilgore's guard.
K throws a strike but Kilgore rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kilgore is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! K is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! K has escaped and now he's on top!

Kilgore is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kilgore is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and K defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kilgore working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. K doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. K manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

K thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

K got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kilgore has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, K has managed to get both his arms back between Kilgore's legs - danger averted.

K is sitting in close to Kilgore's body. Kilgore has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! K is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, K is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kilgore.
