PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Logan Binn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hal Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Binn comes into the arena with Rocky theme blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Logan Binn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hal Hill!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill wants to clinch up but Binn keeps it at a distance.
Binn misses with a series of wild punches.
Binn wants to clinch
and Hill counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hill looks to land a combination but Binn avoids it well.
Binn misses with a double jab

and Hill counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Binn's guard now.

Binn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hill tries to stand but Binn is controlling from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Binn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Binn is working hard here to advance position.
Hill wants to get up but he can't break Binn's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hill wants to stand and escape but instead Binn has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hill clinches up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Binn pulls guard.

Binn is working an open guard so Hill takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hill lands a jab to the head.
Hill throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hill drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hill gets to his feet - Binn follows without any prompting.

Binn tries to keep at a distance but Hill has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hill has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Binn avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Binn stops a takedown attempt from Hill.
Hill looks gassed!
Hill is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Binn pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Logan Binn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hal Hill.

Binn pulls guard successfully.
Binn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hill wants to stand and escape but instead Binn has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Hill wants to sweep here but Binn controlling him for the moment.

Hill can't keep his opponent in guard - Binn advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Binn is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Binn wants to take a breather but Hill is having none of it.
Hill looks like he's trying to stand up.

Binn seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hill wants to improve his position but Binn is controlling well.
Hill moves into full guard.

Hill is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hal Hill dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Binn misses with a takedown
and Hill counters with a one-two to the body.
Hill jabs at Binn's body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hill lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Binn has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Binn and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Binn keeps the fight on the outside.

Hill shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hill wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Binn's closed guard. He's half up but Binn has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Binn pivots and extends the arm, Hill falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Binn! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Logan Binn!
