Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franktimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and brad tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franktimus Prime! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, brad tavares! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! tavares shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Prime pinned against the cage. Prime gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. tavares shoots in for a takedown but Prime shows good takedown defense. Prime scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Prime is controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. tavares pushes Prime off looking to stand but Prime dives back in and keeps control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if tavares can do anything to dispel that myth. tavares is defending against the submission attempts here by Prime.
Prime takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Prime wants to pass to mount but tavares is defending the position. Prime seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Prime decides to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prime scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Prime with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Prime is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Prime decides to return to a standing position. tavares looks gassed! Prime fails with an attempt to clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. tavares takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Franktimus Prime seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. tavares keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franktimus Prime dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Prime tries a head kick but it misses.

Prime fails with the takedown and tavares counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. tavares throws a strike but Prime avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. tavares with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. tavares won't allow Prime to sweep him here. tavares content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. tavares in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Prime seems keen to control tavares's posture. Prime lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for tavares! Prime looking to control but tavares is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Prime lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Prime controlling from mount. Prime looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. tavares avoids a series of strikes thrown by Prime.
Prime throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Prime sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Poor strikes thrown by Prime there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Prime working for a submission but tavares is keeping him at bay. Prime landing punches. Prime looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but brad tavares will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Prime drives through with a takedown into guard. Prime trying to control but tavares is working from the bottom. Prime trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prime not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Prime trying to control but tavares is working from the bottom. Prime controlling from the top position. Prime stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. tavares swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Prime trying to control the position from guard on top but tavares is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Prime closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Prime lands in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. tavares working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Prime. Prime stands and steps away. tavares gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Prime misses with a double jab
so tavares counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prime avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Franktimus Prime overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Prime has his feet on tavares's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Prime shoots in for a takedown but tavares shows good takedown defense. Franktimus Prime is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Prime shoots and misses and tavares decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Prime's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. tavares cracks Prime with a solid left hand. tavares is looking to work some ground and pound but Prime has wrist control. tavares is looking to work some ground and pound but Prime has wrist control. tavares really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prime. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Prime looking to control.
And that's the end of the fight! brad tavares comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think tavares has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
