Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Child (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - X gone give it to ya. Ralph Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Child is trying to get back to full guard.
Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Child is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Child pushes Gracie off looking to stand but Gracie dives back in and keeps control.
Gracie wants to take a breather but Child is having none of it.
Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Child is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gracie misses with a two punch combination.
Child shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control.

Child is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gracie asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Gracie grinds an elbow into Child's temple.
Child is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Child knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Child has hold of Gracie's hands but Gracie slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Gracie is working for a kimura but Child is defending it quite comfortably.
Gracie passes to full mount!

Gracie lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gracie forces Child back against the cage and clinches.
Gracie prevents the takedown attempt.
Gracie throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Gracie pulls Child into guard.
Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Child's guard.

Gracie working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Gracie makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Gracie advances to half guard.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Child defends it well.
Gracie passes to side control.

Child wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Gracie has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Child's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Child is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Gracie!
