6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pedro Romero! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Bilko! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch lands to the side of Romero 's head but he takes it in his stride. Romero throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bilko. Romero throws a series of punches but Bilko moves out of range. Romero throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bilko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Romero napping and manages to drive through into side control! Bilko stands up and beckons Romero to his feet. The fighters circling - Romero throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Romero swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice cross by Bilko. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Romero throws a right and a left that both miss. Bilko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Romero manages to avoid it. Romero swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Romero misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Romero lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
