Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Carlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rage Against The Machine: Bulls On Parade . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Carlson ! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlson throws a jab when Silva was well out of range. Carlson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Carlson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Carlson lands with a punch from half guard. Carlson working over Silva with some ground and pound. Silva looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silva is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Carlson scores with a couple of nice shots. Carlson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Carlson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Carlson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Carlson eventually gives up the hold. Silva is looking for a sweep. Carlson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Carlson pulls his head out easily. Carlson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Carlson uses his free foot to push down on Silva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silva. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva regains half guard. Carlson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Carlson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Carlson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Carlson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Carlson cracks Silva with a solid left hand. Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carlson manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Carlson dives on top into guard. Silva is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Carlson lands a couple of digs. Carlson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva! Carlson tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position. Silva goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Carlson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Silva's guard! Nice work there by Carlson ! Carlson landing with the ground and pound. Carlson tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard. Carlson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Silva's head. Carlson lands a couple of elbows. Silva has his foot on Carlson 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carlson works his way back into a safe position though. Carlson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Silva looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Carlson is retaining full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Carlson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Carlson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Carlson wants to get back to his feet.

Carlson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silva's face.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Silva is desperately trying to improve his position but Carlson has a good base and remains in mount. Silva is working hard here to advance position. Silva is in a horrible position here. Carlson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Carlson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Silva manages to avoid the submission attempt. Carlson grinds an elbow into Silva's temple. Carlson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Silva is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Carlson looks up at the clock and then as Silva takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Carlson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Carlson misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Carlson lands a nice forearm strike. Silva is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Carlson 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Silva missing with punches from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Jamie Carlson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Carlson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
