Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frankie Edgar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Bean pole!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Frankie Edgar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

pole wants to work for an arm triangle but Edgar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like Frankie Edgar has been cut.
Some bone on bone action there as pole checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Edgar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has pole pinned against the cage. pole gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

pole has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Edgar clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

pole has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Edgar has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
pole is punishing Edgar with strikes - can he finish him?!

pole is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Edgar has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Edgar slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

pole throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Edgar closes this distance looking for a takedown but pole circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bean pole dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Frankie Edgar's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and pole holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
pole tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Edgar smiles and moves away.
Edgar takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Edgar shoots in for a takedown but pole shows good takedown defense.
Edgar closes this distance looking for a takedown but pole circles away.
pole tries to clinch up.
pole scores with a kick to the body.

and pole counters with a head kick. That will keep Edgar thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and pole counters by moving into the clinch.

pole lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

pole's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice body kick from pole.
Edgar throws a sloppy head kick
and pole counters with a slapping leg kick.

pole drives through and clinches with Edgar against the cage.

pole manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Edgar takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
pole connects with a high kick.


Edgar is rocked!
pole throws a nice inside leg kick.
A solid body kick from pole.
pole throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Edgar.
Oh Edgar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Edgar closes the distance but pole moves to the side
and pole counters with a flying knee that drops Edgar! pole dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bean pole!
