The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wells scores with a shot to the body.

Wells tries to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling the position.

Wells takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Johnson looks like he's trying to stand up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Wells.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wells swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Wells missing with a left hand there. Johnson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kelly Wells is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wells bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Johnson's head.
Johnson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wells was covering up waiting for the punch and Johnson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Johnson throws a strike but Wells rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Billy Johnson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wells's corner calls for a 1-2. Wells obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kelly Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnson is rocked!
Wells throws a right and a left that Johnson avoids nicely.
Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Wells has cracked Johnson with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Wells lands another huge swinging hook and Johnson tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Johnson, before Wells can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kelly Wells!
