2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel Wicker! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Langlais! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Wicker checks a leg kick. Wicker uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Langlais. Wicker gets a clinch. Wicker tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

It looks like Chris Langlais has been cut. Langlais has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wicker avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Langlais goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wicker prevents it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Langlais tries to score with some ground and pound. Wicker controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sloppy strikes there by Langlais. Langlais working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Langlais throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Langlais throws a strike aimed at the side of Wicker's head but Wicker avoids it well. Langlais lands some shots froms side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wicker tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Langlais thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wicker tries to get out of the position. Langlais has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wicker's face.
Langlais pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Langlais scoring with strikes but Wicker is staying in there. Wicker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Langlais on the ground.

Wicker is bucking up trying to escape but Langlais cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Poor strikes thrown by Langlais there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Langlais working for a guillotine from mount but Wicker is in no mood to give up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Langlais cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Wicker closes the distance looking to clinch and Langlais counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Langlais. Langlais wants to get up but he can't break Wicker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Wicker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wicker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Langlais stands up from Wicker's guard - Langlais perhaps looking for a knockout. Langlais circles away from the clinch attempt and Langlais counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Langlais is trying to control the action in half guard but Wicker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Langlais working Wicker over with strikes. Langlais ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Langlais no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Wicker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Langlais is proving hard to escape from. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Langlais is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wicker is aware though and is defending well. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Wicker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Langlais has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wicker has managed to get both his arms back between Langlais's legs - danger averted. Wicker wants to stand but Langlais has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Langlais is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wicker defends well. Langlais throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Wicker defends it easily. Wicker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Langlais is proving hard to escape from.

Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
