Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Burrhus Frederic Skinner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Cordes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Burrhus Frederic Skinner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jorge Cordes! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cordes fails to land the takedown. Skinner throws a head kick that misses. Cordes tries to clinch but Skinner moves out of range. Skinner moves out of range as Cordes strikes. Skinner throws a head kick that misses. Cordes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Skinner paws at him with a jab and circles away. Skinner throws a sloppy head kick and Cordes moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cordes tries to clinch but Skinner is having none of it. Cordes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Skinner as he avoids it easily. Cordes dives in and grabs Skinner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Skinner pushes down on Cordes's head and hops out. Burrhus Frederic Skinner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Cordes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skinner lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Jorge Cordes has been cut. Skinner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cordes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cordes throws a strike but Skinner rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Skinner trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cordes keeping full guard, as Skinner tries to pass. Cordes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Skinner looking to pass the guard. Cordes keeping moving, preventing Skinner from controlling successfully. Skinner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cordes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Skinner has managed to get both his arms back between Cordes's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skinner wants to control from the top but Cordes keeps moving.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Skinner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cordes moves in looking to clinch but Skinner pushes him off. Skinner swats away the attempt to clinch by Cordes. Cordes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Skinner swats him away and circles back towards the center. Skinner tries a head kick but it misses.
Horrible takedown by Skinner or perhaps it was just good defense by Cordes which made him look bad.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skinner throws a nice outside leg kick. Skinner misses with a takedown attempt - Cordes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cordes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Skinner counters with a nice double leg into guard. Cordes looking for a guillotine here but Skinner defends easily.
Skinner prevents Cordes from getting back to his feet. Cordes looks gassed! Cordes is looking for a triangle but Skinner pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skinner gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Skinner is looking to land body kicks. Skinner scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Skinner in particular looking to stall. Skinner working over Cordes with some ground and pound. Cordes looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Cordes trying to control from the bottom.
Cordes looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Skinner connects with a nice short shot to Cordes's temple. Skinner with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Cordes makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Burrhus Frederic Skinner dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jorge Cordes's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Skinner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cordes to the mat! Cordes manages to get full guard. Skinner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Skinner stands and steps away. Cordes gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Cordes tries to clinch but fails miserably and Skinner counters by moving into the clinch. Cordes has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Skinner is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Cordes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Skinner fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cordes with a lazy takedown attempt and Skinner counters with a head kick. That will keep Cordes thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Burrhus Frederic Skinner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Cordes. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Skinner throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Cordes is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
