Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Shockey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens misses with a few strikes there.
Shockey closes the distance and clinches up with Owens, looking for a takedown. Shockey pushes Owens against the cage but Owens circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Owens clinches with his opponent.
Shockey takes an elbow to the forehead.
Owens lands a nice elbow.
Owens comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Owens tries for a takedown but Shockey manages to get underhooks.
Owens gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Owens escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Owens will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jim Shockey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shockey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shockey lands in his opponent's guard.

Shockey is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Shockey wants to get up but he can't break Owens's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Owens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shockey stands and steps away. Owens gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Owens fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Owens ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Owens no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Owens is breathing heavily.

Shockey has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Owens is proving hard to escape from.
Shockey postures up in Owens's guard and throws a big left but Owens blocks it.
Owens pushes Shockey off and gets back to his feet.
Owens tries to bum rush Shockey with a series of wild strikes but Shockey uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Shockey throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Shockey misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Shockey dodges the punch combination from Owens.
Nice takedown defense from Owens. No joy for Shockey on that attempt.
Shockey fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A left and a right from Owens both land. Nice combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Owens is defended easily by Shockey.
Owens closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shockey circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shockey escapes and gets back to his feet.
Owens gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Shockey counters with a leg kick.
Shockey shoots in for a takedown but Owens shows good takedown defense.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Owens throws a right and a left that Shockey avoids nicely.
Owens fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shockey avoids it really well and circles away.
Shockey tries to clinch but Owens moves away
enabling Owens to counter with a crisp jab.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Shockey.
Owens is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Shockey has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Owens parries the strikes from Shockey easily there. Shockey is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Owens to escape.
Shockey working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Shockey decides to stand up, so the ref orders Owens to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shockey goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Shockey throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Owens doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Shockey counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Owens scores with a one two! Shockey had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Owens misses with a few strikes there.
Shockey shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Shockey was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Shockey fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Owens looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Owens scores with a nice strike.
Shockey scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Shockey fails with a takedown attempt.
Shockey lands a nice leg kick that just misses Owens's sensitive parts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Shockey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Shockey shoots in but no luck this time.
Owens fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shockey, pushing him back against the cage.
Owens is working Shockey over against the cage.
Owens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shockey throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Owens tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shockey paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Owens rushes Shockey with punches - Shockey moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Shockey goes down! Owens follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wayne Owens!
