Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Zuzinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Sassaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Fernando Zuzinho has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fernando Zuzinho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Sassaki!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zuzinho throws a series of strikes that have Sassaki backpedaling.
Zuzinho tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sassaki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sassaki tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Zuzinho counters with a series of strikes. Sassaki will be more careful next time no doubt.
Zuzinho cracks the inside of Sassaki's front leg.
Zuzinho fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sassaki sprawls well initially but Zuzinho persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Zuzinho is trying to control the action in half guard but Sassaki is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Zuzinho working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sassaki is concentrating on defense, preventing Zuzinho from advancing position.
Zuzinho throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Sassaki has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Zuzinho. Oh but Sassaki has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Zuzinho goes limp - he's gone! Sassaki jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Rafael Sassaki!
