Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Kuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Padr Gary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Padr Gary has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Kuraba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Padr Gary! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good leg kick by Gary there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kuraba throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gary's waist but Gary gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kuraba off to one side. Kuraba circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kuraba closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gary to the mat! Gary manages to get full guard.
Gary looking for a guillotine here but Kuraba defends easily.
Gary is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kuraba in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kuraba with a flurry of punches that miss. Kuraba has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kuraba postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kuraba looking to pass the guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kuraba wants to control from the top but Gary keeps moving. Kuraba postures up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kuraba shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gary is looking to clinch. Gary is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gary fails in his attempt to clinch. Kuraba keeps the fight on the outside. Gary tries to clinch but Kuraba is having none of it. Kuraba avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gary tries to clinch up but Kuraba circles away and keeps his distance. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Gary!
Gary moves in looking to clinch but Kuraba pushes him off. No luck for Kuraba with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenji Kuraba. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kuraba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gary pinned against the cage. Gary gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Gary wants to clinch. Gary tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kuraba throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Gary closes the distance and pushes Kuraba back into the ropes. Kuraba is trying to break the clinch but Gary has him pressed against the ropes. Gary working Kuraba over with knees to the body. Gary wants to stall.
Kuraba goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gary prevents it.
Gary escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gary wants to clinch up but Kuraba keeps it at a distance. Gary fails in his attempt to clinch. Kuraba shoots in looking for a takedown. Gary tries to sprawl out of it but Kuraba keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Gary manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gary is looking to clinch.

Kuraba fails in his attempt to clinch. Gary moves in looking to clinch but Kuraba pushes him off. Kuraba shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gary but Gary pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gary tries to close the distance and clinch but Kuraba swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gary moves into the clinch. Gary has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Gary's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gary wants to clinch. Nice takedown defense from Gary. No joy for Kuraba on that attempt.

Kuraba shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gary but Gary pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kuraba looks for a takedown but Gary sprawls well. Kuraba is breathing heavily. Kuraba tries for a takedown but Gary sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Gary tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kuraba swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gary throws a combination. Kuraba tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Kuraba circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gary moves into the clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Gary lands a nice elbow. Gary tries to break free but Kuraba pushes him back against the ropes. Gary keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kuraba's efforts to push away. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gary lands a knee to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Padr Gary dominated that round. That's time! Kuraba's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gary tries to clinch but Kuraba is having none of it. Gary avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kuraba shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kuraba throws a big right hand that misses. Gary wants to stand but Kuraba is controlling the position. Kuraba trying to control the position from guard on top but Gary is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kuraba passes Gary's left leg - he's now in half guard. Kuraba has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Kuraba trying to control but he's not successful this time.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Gary is trying desperately to improve position. Kuraba lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Kuraba lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Kuraba is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gary has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gary!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuraba is trying to keep Gary in close.
Kuraba avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kuraba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gary trying to control the position from guard on top but Kuraba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kuraba is looking for a triangle but Gary pushes his legs off easily.
Kuraba lands a good elbow from the bottom. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kuraba is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kuraba throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kuraba wants to take a breather but Gary is having none of it. Kuraba looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kuraba prevents Gary from improving his position.
Gary makes his way to full guard, as Kuraba worked for a kimura.
Kuraba content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenji Kuraba dominated that second round. That's time! Kuraba's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Gary fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kuraba, pushing him back against the ropes. Gary unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kuraba lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Gary breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kuraba shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gary defends it nicely. Kuraba waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gary. Gary darts in trying to clinch
and Kuraba counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Kuraba postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gary is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kuraba, into his guard. Gary is looking to work some ground and pound but Kuraba has wrist control. Gary really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuraba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Gary stopping the sweep attempt from Kuraba.
Kuraba escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gary gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kuraba is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kuraba wants to sweep but no luck.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuraba not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kuraba is really struggling to control Gary but he's trying to hold on to the position.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kuraba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gary tries to avoid it but Kuraba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gary to the ground. Gary escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kenji Kuraba is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kuraba swats away the attempt to clinch by Gary. Kuraba shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gary defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenji Kuraba. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kuraba tried to score with a low kick but Gary checks it.
Kuraba shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kuraba wants to control the pace but Gary is squirming around nicely.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Gary wants to hold on but Kuraba pushes him away. Gary blocking the ground and pound. Kuraba trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kuraba throws a strike there. Gary manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Kuraba stops Gary from getting back to his feet.
Gary is not content to let Kuraba control the position. Kuraba thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gary's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Kenji Kuraba showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kuraba has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
