Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angus Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan comes into the arena with Reign in Blood by Slayer blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maia moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No luck for Maia with that takedown attempt.
Khan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Maia needs to keep his hands up - Khan had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Demian Maia has been cut.
Khan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Khan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Nice sprawl there from Khan as Maia shoots in.

Maia looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Khan manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Maia postures up in Khan's guard and throws a big left but Khan blocks it.
Khan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Maia!

Maia is in all sorts of trouble here.
Khan is landing with some decent strikes but Maia is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Khan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Maia is working to get back to half guard.

That has opened up Demian Maia's cut even more.
Khan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Maia's face.

Demian Maia's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Demian Maia's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
