Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sato Matasui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Mitsumito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitsumito throws a wild body kick that Matasui sees coming a mile off.
Matasui throws a head kick but Mitsumito moves out of range.
A combination from Matasui does no damage.
Matasui misses with a takedown attempt - Mitsumito sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Matasui clinches up with Mitsumito and pushes him back against the cage.
Matasui goes for a takedown attempt but Mitsumito pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Matasui tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mitsumito paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Matasui is stalling here. Mitsumito is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Matasui seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Mitsumito has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Matasui fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mitsumito stuffs the takedown.
Mitsumito throws a lazy head kick
and Matasui counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Mitsumito tries to work over Matasui's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Matasui jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mitsumito walks away with a smile on his face. Matasui gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Matasui throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mitsumito's waist but Mitsumito gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Matasui off to one side.
Matasui moves out of range of the leg kick from Mitsumito.
Sato Matasui seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matasui throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Matasui gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Mitsumito is trying to break the clinch but Matasui is controlling him.
Mitsumito can't break the clinch.
Mitsumito is trying to stall.

A close round but Logan Mitsumito will probably get the nod.

and Matasui counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mitsumito is lucky that one didn't land flush.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Matasui is defended easily by Mitsumito.
Matasui stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mitsumito.

Mitsumito wants to control from the top but Matasui keeps moving.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Matasui closes the distance and clinches up with Mitsumito, looking for a takedown. Matasui pushes Mitsumito against the cage but Mitsumito circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Mitsumito tries a low kick but Matasui avoids it.

Matasui shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mitsumito as he avoids it easily.

and Matasui counters with a body kick that stops Mitsumito in his tracks momentarily.
Mitsumito tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mitsumito looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Matasui closes the distance but Mitsumito moves to the side
and Matasui takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Sato Matasui has been cut.

Matasui dives in and grabs Mitsumito's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mitsumito pushes down on Matasui's head and hops out.

Mitsumito thows a leg kick but Matasui checks it
and Matasui decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mitsumito's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mitsumito tries to get the hooks in deep but Matasui pushed the leg off.
Matasui defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Mitsumito's arms.
Matasui wants to control his opponent's hands but Mitsumito gets his hands free.
Matasui staying busy and making it hard for Mitsumito to control.
I really don't envy Matasui right now.

Logan Mitsumito comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mitsumito has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
