The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
French swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
French throws a hook but Fenix avoids it easily.
French connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Fenix lands with a cross.
Fenix takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fenix connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Clay French has been cut.
French connects with a crisp jab.
French will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fenix swinging wildly here.
French throws a jab but it's blocked by Fenix.
French fails to land with a series of punches.
French looks to land a left hand but Fenix moved out of range nicely.
A combination from French does no damage.
Fenix slips under a jab.
Clay French seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fenix jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

French throws a combination that misses
and Fenix counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts French off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Fenix follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but French was out before he hit the floor.
