Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blake Ritter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Newell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake Ritter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blake Ritter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthew Newell!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritter takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ritter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Newell as he avoids it easily.
Newell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ritter.
Ritter shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blake Ritter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Newell tries to close the distance and clinch but Ritter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Newell stuffs the takedown attempt from Ritter. Ritter gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Well Newell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
