Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terrel Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez tries to clinch but Lee is having none of it.
Lee lands with a nice combination. Martinez backs away looking to recover.
Martinez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A combination from Martinez does no damage.
Lee connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Martinez momentarily.
Lee takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Martinez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lee.
Martinez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lee counters with a body kick that stops Martinez in his tracks momentarily.
Lee tries to clinch there but Martinez circles away.
Martinez misses with a kick to the body

and Lee counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Martinez!
Lee wants to control the pace but Martinez is squirming around nicely.
Lee throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Martinez because Lee loaded up on that one.

Lee manages to capitalize on a mistake by Martinez to take his back!

Lee has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Martinez has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Despite being in the dominant position, Kenji Lee just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Lee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Martinez at a distance.
Lee throws a right and a left that Martinez avoids nicely.
Martinez looks to clinch

and Lee counters with a nice double leg into side control. Martinez won't be happy with that.
Lee gets to mount! Martinez was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Lee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Martinez is looking to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Martinez wants to hold on but Lee pushes him away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Martinez is squirming around, avoiding Lee's attempts to control the action.

Lee paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Martinez keeps working.

Lee decides to stand back up. Lee steps back and let's Martinez get back to his feet.

and Lee counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Lee slows the pace down in half guard.
Lee wants to take a breather but Martinez is having none of it.
Martinez trying to get back to full guard but Lee takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Martinez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lee on the ground.
Martinez is trying desperately to improve position.

Kenji Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Martinez moves into the clinch.
Lee looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Martinez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Martinez tries to score a body lock takedown but Lee shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Lee has Martinez pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lee pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Martinez tumbling to the mat - Lee dives into Martinez's guard.
Lee slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Martinez keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Martinez can't keep his opponent in guard - Lee advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Lee seems to be looking for submissions.
Lee takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Martinez trying to control but Lee postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee moves nicely into side control.
Lee is looking to take a break and control but Martinez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lee gets control of Martinez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Martinez is controlling him.

Lee controls Martinez momentarily but Martinez frees himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Lee closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lee lands in his opponent's guard.
Martinez is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kenji Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lee winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
