Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wayne LePierre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Brite!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brite throws a jab but it's blocked by LePierre.
LePierre staying out of range there.
A head kick from LePierre lands but Brite takes it in his stride.
LePierre is looking to clinch but Brite is avoiding it.
LePierre misses with a series of wild punches.
LePierre scores with a nice body kick.
Wayne LePierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brite misses with a looping left.
Brite circles away from the clinch attempt.
LePierre thows a left - swing and a miss!
A big right from Brite misses.
LePierre tries to clinch up.
LePierre throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Brite swats away the attempt to clinch by LePierre.
LePierre misses with a few strikes there.
Brite takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brite takes a swing at LePierre's ribcage but misses.
LePierre scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
LePierre blocks a jab.
Good leg kick by LePierre there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
LePierre fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brite manages to avoid it.
LePierre feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brite's calf.
LePierre throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brite lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but LePierre circles away quickly and effectively.
A looping hook to the body misses from Brite. LePierre does a little dance to reset his feet.
Brite looks gassed!
Brite takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
LePierre will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brite on the wrong end of a nice jab.
LePierre swinging wildly here.
Brite shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says LePierre as he avoids it easily.
LePierre lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Brite can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from LePierre and Brite drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by LePierre.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wayne LePierre!
