Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Quid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Santiago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Quid! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quid circles away from the clinch attempt.
Santiago shoots in but Quid avoids the takedown attempt easily. Santiago shoots for a takedown but Quid saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Santiago looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Quid is fending him off so far but Santiago persists. Nope, Quid circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Santiago. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santiago feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Santiago trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Quid is trying to control the position but Santiago postures up. Quid might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Santiago kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Quid looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Santiago controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Santiago stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quid swivels though and keeps the full guard. Quid controls Santiago momentarily but Santiago frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Santiago tries to close the distance and clinch but Quid swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Santiago tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Quid swivels and escapes. Santiago fails with the takedown. Santiago fails with the takedown. Quid ducks under a wild hook from Santiago. Santiago shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Quid but Quid pushes him off and we're back to square one. Quid keeps the fight on the outside. Joe Santiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Santiago shoots in and drives through. Quid sprawls well. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Santiago. Santiago looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Quid is fending him off so far but Santiago persists. Nope, Quid circles away and we're back to standing. Santiago looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Quid looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Santiago really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Santiago can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Quid controls the pace. Santiago pushes Quid off and scrambles back to his feet.
Santiago shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Quid decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Santiago's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quid trying to control but Santiago is working from the bottom. Quid is in close to Santiago's body, working some short punches and elbows. Quid tries to stand but Santiago is controlling from the bottom. Santiago working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Quid. Quid trying to control but Santiago is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Quid shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Quid showed some decent athleticism there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quid is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Santiago defends it well. Quid missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Santiago is pressing down on Quid's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Santiago working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Quid. Santiago trying to keep a closed guard but Quid is proving a slippery customer.
Quid won't allow Santiago to sweep him here. Santiago throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Quid closes this distance looking for a takedown but Santiago circles away. Santiago with a lazy takedown attempt and Quid counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Quid. Quid won't allow Santiago to sweep him here. Quid stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Santiago has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Quid manages to get his head free but now Santiago has transitioned to an armbar! Quid grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Santiago! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
