Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Novo Magalhaes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Artigas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Artigas has chosen Candombe as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Artigas dives in and grabs Magalhaes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Magalhaes pushes down on Artigas's head and hops out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Artigas has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Magalhaes finds it's way round the side to connect with Artigas's head.
Artigas shoots for a double leg takedown but Magalhaes sprawls well. He's pushed Artigas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Artigas moves forwards but Magalhaes connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Magalhaes, as that shot connected.
Magalhaes moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Magalhaes lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Artigas backs up against the cage.

It looks like Julio Artigas has been cut.

Novo Magalhaes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magalhaes drops Artigas with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Artigas! Magalhaes dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
