Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aurelio Alvez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renzo Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aurelio Alvez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Renzo Oliveira! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliveira looks for a takedown but Alvez sprawls well. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Oliveira is defended easily by Alvez. Alvez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Renzo Oliveira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alvez getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Oliveira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alvez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Oliveira tries to keep at a distance but Alvez has taken the fight into the clinch. Alvez pulls guard. Alvez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Oliveira is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Oliveira tries to hold on but Alvez pushes him away. Alvez with good strikes from the mount here! Alvez looking to control and managing it successfully. Alvez has control of Oliveira's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Oliveira regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Alvez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliveira taking shots to the head. Oliveira tries to hold on but Alvez pushes him away. Oliveira is in all sorts of trouble here.
Alvez with shots to the head and body - Oliveira looks very uncomfortable down there. Alvez stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Oliveira wants to clinch but Alvez slips to the side and Alvez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Oliveira won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alvez decides to take the fight back to the feet. Oliveira shoots and misses and Alvez moves into the clinch. Aurelio Alvez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renzo Oliveira. Oliveira looks gassed! Oliveira misses with some punches.

Alvez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Oliveira was covering up waiting for the punch and Alvez finishes the takedown easily into guard. Alvez showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Alvez looking to pass the guard. Alvez slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Alvez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Alvez postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alvez passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Alvez controlling the pace. Alvez thows a huge punch but Oliveira dodges it nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Alvez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Aurelio Alvez dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Oliveira gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Alvez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Alvez looking to pass the guard. Oliveira looking for a guillotine here but Alvez defends easily.
Alvez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Oliveira shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Alvez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Alvez tries to free his leg and advance position but Oliveira is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvez controls from within his opponent's guard. Alvez stands up and waves to Oliveira to follow him. Oliveira is breathing heavily. Alvez moves into the clinch. Oliveira misses with a hook to the ribs.
Alvez turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Alvez manages to end up in side control. Alvez has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Alvez gets the takedown into side control. Oliveira being controlled for a moment. Aurelio Alvez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alvez looks up at the clock and then as Oliveira takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Alvez smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Alvez tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvez stands up. Alvez slips a jab and a cross from Oliveira.
Oliveira gets caught flat footed, as Alvez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Alvez won't allow Oliveira to sweep him here. Alvez's corner is telling him to maintain position. Alvez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Oliveira for as long as he can get away with.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliveira is working an open guard so Alvez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Alvez dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Alvez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Oliveira can do to turn this around? Alvez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oliveira's guard. Alvez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Alvez stands and steps away. Oliveira gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aurelio Alvez dominated that second round. That's time! Alvez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Alvez instigates a clinch. Oliveira manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Oliveira not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Oliveira has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alvez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Alvez content to stall in guard here. Alvez stands and steps away. Oliveira gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Alvez scores with a takedown into Oliveira's guard. Alvez gets to his feet - Oliveira follows without any prompting. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvez cracks Oliveira with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Alvez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Oliveira napping and manages to drive through into side control! Oliveira trying to remain calm as Alvez controls from the top position. Oliveira takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Alvez lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Alvez in side control, just content to control the action for now. Oliveira can't do much from the bottom here. Alvez scoring with punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvez just content to control the position. Oliveira tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Alvez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Alvez remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Alvez tries for a kimura but Oliveira is defending well. Alvez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Oliveira to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliveira takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Alvez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Alvez landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Oliveira has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Alvez is working away from the top position though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Alvez controlling the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Aurelio Alvez showed his dominance in that final round. Well Alvez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
