Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira looks for a takedown but Alvez sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Oliveira is defended easily by Alvez.
Alvez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Alvez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Oliveira for as long as he can get away with.

Oliveira is working an open guard so Alvez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Alvez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Oliveira can do to turn this around?
Alvez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oliveira's guard.
