Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Upknuk Pro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alexei Vestuvich!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pro pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Vestuvich drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Vestuvich decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pro to his feet.
Pro has his takedown stuffed

and Vestuvich counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vestuvich.
Pro throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Vestuvich wants to pass the guard but Pro is keeping the position.
Vestuvich looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Vestuvich has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Pro looking for subs off his back but Vestuvich has passed one foot through into half guard.

Vestuvich tries to close the distance and clinch but Pro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Vestuvich seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Vestuvich postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pro to stand up.
Vestuvich is looking to clinch but Pro is avoiding it.
Vestuvich keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pro.

Pro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vestuvich to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Vestuvich controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Vestuvich closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Pro throws a head kick that misses.
Vestuvich throws out a leg kick but Pro moves out of range and Vestuvich only half commits.

Pro is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Vestuvich scores with a couple of nice shots.

Vestuvich works his way into side control.
The referee asks Vestuvich politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Vestuvich prefers to stall for the moment though.

Vestuvich lands some shots froms side control.
Pro trying to remain calm as Vestuvich controls from the top position.

Vestuvich is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Pro looks calm but he's in trouble here. Vestuvich gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Pro is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Vestuvich lets go of the hold and Pro can pop his arm back in it's socket.
