Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Feher Rolland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Shlemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rolland comes to the cage accompanied by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsO6ZnUZI0g. Shlemenko has chosen Young Jeezy feat. Busta Rhymes - love it as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Feher Rolland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alex Shlemenko!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlemenko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Rolland moves into the clinch.
Shlemenko tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Rolland successfully pulls guard.
Rolland looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Shlemenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Rolland is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Shlemenko stands up over Rolland, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rolland wants to sweep but no luck.

Rolland knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shlemenko on the ground.

Shlemenko drops back looking for a leg! Rolland is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rolland manages to kick Shlemenko off! Shlemenko jumps back into Rolland's guard.

Shlemenko wants to control from the top but Rolland keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rolland.
Rolland shoots in looking for a takedown. Shlemenko tries to sprawl out of it but Rolland keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shlemenko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Feher Rolland. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shlemenko dives in and grabs Rolland's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rolland pushes down on Shlemenko's head and hops out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Shlemenko instigates a clinch.

Shlemenko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Rolland decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Shlemenko gets back to full guard.
Rolland is breathing heavily.
Rolland working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Shlemenko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rolland defends it easily.
Shlemenko controls Rolland momentarily but Rolland frees himself.
Rolland seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rolland cracks Shlemenko with a solid left hand.
Rolland loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rolland keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shlemenko's head.
Rolland wants to control from the top but Shlemenko keeps moving.
Rolland stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shlemenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shlemenko is trying to control the position from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rolland accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rolland wants to get up but he can't break Shlemenko's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rolland changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shlemenko tries to avoid it but Rolland manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shlemenko to the ground. Shlemenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Rolland decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shlemenko's guard.
Shlemenko wants to sweep but no luck.
Rolland wants to control from the top but Shlemenko keeps moving.
Rolland stops Shlemenko from standing up.
Rolland wants to stand and escape but instead Shlemenko has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Feher Rolland dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Rolland closes the distance and pushes Shlemenko back into the cage.

Rolland gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Shlemenko regains guard.
Rolland with a flurry of punches that miss.
Rolland throws and elbow that misses. Shlemenko uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rolland's guard. Nice move by Shlemenko!

Shlemenko decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Rolland counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rolland.

Shlemenko is trying to break the clinch but Rolland has him pressed against the cage.

Rolland is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rolland tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shlemenko smiles and moves away.

Shlemenko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rolland is working away from the top position though.

Rolland tries to pass the half guard into mount. Shlemenko knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Rolland throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Rolland rushes Shlemenko and presses him up against the cage.

Rolland breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shlemenko moves out of range of the body kick.
Shlemenko scores with a nice head shot.
A slow jab from Shlemenko misses its intended target.

Rolland shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Shlemenko manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Rolland stands up and waves to Shlemenko to follow him.

Rolland throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shlemenko's waist but Shlemenko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rolland off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Feher Rolland. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shlemenko throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Rolland tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Shlemenko avoids it.

Nice body punch from Rolland - that landed with a thud.
Shlemenko has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Rolland is working for takedown but Shlemenko is calmly controlling the position for now.

Rolland is trying to trip Shlemenko. He has hold of a leg but Shlemenko is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rolland persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Shlemenko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Rolland feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rolland, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
