Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Pall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Robida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robida has chosen Walk as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Pall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Robida!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pall misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pall circles away from the clinch attempt.
Robida gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Pall counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Robida is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pall is controlling him.
Pall passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Robida is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pall has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Robida throws a head kick that misses.

and Pall counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Pall pushes Robida up against the cage in a clinch.
Pall tries to circle away but Robida has him pinned against the cage.
Robida can't get the takedown.
Jon Pall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Robida.
Pall jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Robida walks away with a smile on his face. Pall gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Danny Robida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pall doesn't manage to clinch there - Robida circles away.

Pall looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Robida!
Pall trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Robida in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Pall throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Pall gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Pall shoots in for a double leg but Robida sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Pall counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Robida has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pall avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pall has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Robida throws a hook but Pall blocks it.
Pall looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Robida darts in trying to clinch
and Pall counters with a three punch combo that has Robida backing up. Robida nods at Pall to acknowledge the strikes.

Pall clinches.
Robida blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pall jumps guard but Robida stands there with Pall around his waist. Pall gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Robida tries to land knees in the clinch but Pall avoids the damage to the body.
Robida tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Pall lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Robida backwards.
Robida pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Pall is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Robida is trying to trip Pall. He has hold of a leg but Pall is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Robida persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Robida wants to stand but Pall is controlling his posture from full guard.
Pall is trying to keep Robida in close.

Robida stands up from guard. Let's bang!

and Pall counters with a takedown into side control.
Pall is looking to take a break and control but Robida is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Robida explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Robida shoots in and drives through. Pall sprawls well.
A head kick misses from Robida.
Pall is looking to clinch but Robida is avoiding it.
Pall circles away from the clinch attempt
and Pall counters with a low kick, right behind Robida 's knee.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Pall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Robida's guard.
Robida wants to get back to his feet but Pall is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robida is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Pall can't fight it off and eventually Robida manages to take the fight to the floor. Pall looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Pall is working an open guard so Robida takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
