Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pankration Master (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horiato Hayato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horiato Hayato has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Pankration Master's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pankration Master!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Horiato Hayato!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Master shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hayato is trying to defend but Master finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hayato kicks Master off and gets back to his feet.
Hayato doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Master counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hayato!
Master wants to take his opponent's back but Hayato doesn't allow it.
Master really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Master trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Master wants to get back to his feet but Hayato is holding on tight.

Master goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hayato turns into him and now he's in Master's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hayato gets to his feet - Master follows without any prompting.

Hayato throws a sloppy head kick

and Master counters with a takedown into side control.
Master is breathing heavily.
Hayato holds on to Master's head and controls the position momentarily.
Hayato manages to work his way to half guard, despite Master's best efforts.

Hayato moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hayato is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Hayato is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Master trying to control the position from guard on top but Hayato is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Master drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hayato looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hayato looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hayato!

Hayato tries for a kimura but Master is defending well.
Hayato throws an elbow but Master slips to the side and avoids it well.

Hayato stands up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hayato moves in looking to clinch but Master pushes him off.

Hayato fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Master sprawls well initially but Hayato persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hayato gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Hayato tries to close the distance and clinch but Master swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hayato lands a head kick. Master smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hayato throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hayato shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Master napping and manages to drive through into side control!
An elbow from Hayato crashes against the mat.
Hayato misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Horiato Hayato will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Hayato with a poor takedown

and Master counters with a shoot takedown. Hayato fights it but they end up in guard.
Hayato wants to sweep but no luck.

Master drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hayato dives on top into guard.
Hayato has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Master is trying to control the position but Hayato postures up.
Master looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hayato is one step ahead there.
Hayato stands and throws Master's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hayato stands up.

Hayato gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hayato breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick from Hayato lands but Master takes it in his stride.
Hayato scores with a jab to the head.

Hayato fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Master sprawls well initially but Hayato persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hayato seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Master does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hayato is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Master doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hayato.

Hayato seems to be working for a kimura but Master defends the submission attempt.

Hayato thows a huge punch but Master dodges it nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hayato escapes and gets back to his feet.
Master stuffs the takedown attempt from Hayato. Hayato gets slowly back to his feet.

Hayato has closed the distance and engaged Master in a clinch.

Hayato breaks from the clinch.
Hayato goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Hayato misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pankration Master has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Horiato Hayato.
Hayato scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Master is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hayato's half guard.
Master is stalling here. Hayato is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Master seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hayato has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Hayato throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hayato looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Master is avoiding damage well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Horiato Hayato will probably get the nod - 10:9.

and Hayato counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hayato postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hayato wants to pass the guard but Master is keeping the position.
Hayato is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hayato wants to control from the top but Master keeps moving.

Hayato drops back looking for a leg! Master is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Master manages to kick Hayato off! Hayato jumps back into Master's guard.

Master on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Master tries to get out of the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hayato throws a big right hand that misses.

Master knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hayato on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hayato shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Master manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Pankration Master has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Horiato Hayato is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hayato has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Horiato Hayato comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hayato has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
