Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Victor Novikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clark circles away from the clinch attempt.
Clark showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Novikov.
Novikov connects with the punch.
Novikov moves in looking to clinch but Clark pushes him off.
Clark feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Clark must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Novikov pulls Clark in close to prevent any damage.

Clark shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Novikov pinned against the cage. Novikov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Novikov tries to clinch but Clark is having none of it.

Victor Novikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zack Clark.
Novikov scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Novikov leaves Clark with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Novikov fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Clark.
Clark tries to bum rush Novikov with a series of wild strikes but Novikov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Clark misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Clark takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Novikov throws a one two combo.
Clark is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Novikov fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Clark on the side of the head.
Clark is rocked!
Novikov walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Clark drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Novikov swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Clark's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
