Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wade Whitlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe throws a leg kick which misses Whitlow's front leg but catches the back leg as Whitlow tries to avoid it.
Joe tries to keep at a distance but Whitlow has taken the fight into the clinch.
Joe wants to break free but Whitlow has control.
Whitlow gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Joe.
Whitlow with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Bubba Joe has been cut.
Joe wants to get back to striking at distance but Whitlow won't allow it.
Whitlow breaks from the clinch.
Whitlow lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Whitlow tries to clinch up but Joe circles away and keeps his distance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Whitlow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Joe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Joe takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Joe seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Whitlow for as long as he can get away with.
Joe decides to stand and escape the position.
Joe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Whitlow, pushing him back against the cage.

Joe has had enough of the clinch but Whitlow keeps him there for the moment.

Whitlow keeps control of Joe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Whitlow has Joe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Joe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Joe wants to break free but Whitlow has control.
Joe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Joe throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Wade Whitlow has been cut.
Whitlow closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Whitlow steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Joe. That one must have hurt.
Joe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Whitlow pinned against the cage. Whitlow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Joe fails in his attempt to clinch.
Joe misses with a few strikes there.
Joe avoids a punch combination nicely.
Whitlow thuds a left hand into Joe's body.
Whitlow drops Joe with a beautiful combination! Joe stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Whitlow is looking for the KO!
Joe is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Whitlow, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oh Joe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Joe misses with a takedown attempt - Whitlow sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Joe seems to have got his legs back now.

Nice takedown defense from Joe. No joy for Whitlow on that attempt.
Joe throws a low kick but Whitlow avoids it.
Joe thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Whitlow if he has to take too many more of those.

Joe lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Bubba Joe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Joe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Joe throws a leg kick which misses Whitlow's front leg but catches the back leg as Whitlow tries to avoid it.
Joe swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Whitlow counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Joe thinking.
Joe tries a head kick but it misses.
Whitlow takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Joe looks to land a combination. Whitlow sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A right-left combo lands from Joe.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Joe counters with a nice double leg into side control. Whitlow won't be happy with that.
Bubba Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wade Whitlow.

That's time! Joe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Joe tries to clinch there but Whitlow circles away.
Whitlow takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Whitlow throws a series of punches but Joe moves out of range.
Joe lands with a kick to the temple. Whitlow shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Joe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Whitlow as he avoids it easily.

Whitlow throws a combination. Joe tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Joe! Whitlow is out on his feet! Joe rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Whitlow is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Whitlow is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
