Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Masakatsu Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guillermo Penderas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lose Yourself. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penderas takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Gomi slips a jab from Penderas.
Penderas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Gomi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Penderas connects with the punch.
Penderas scores with a jab. Gomi acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Gomi moves out of range as Penderas strikes.
The fighters circling - Penderas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Penderas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gomi.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gomi is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Penderas has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Penderas!
Gomi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Penderas is not content to let Gomi control the position.
Penderas is pressing down on Gomi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Penderas is trying to break the clinch but Gomi is controlling him.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Penderas loads up on a big right hand but Gomi slips the punch.
Gomi ducks right into an uppercut from Penderas.
Gomi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

and Gomi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Gomi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Penderas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Gomi counters with a thumping low kick.

Penderas throws a right hand that Gomi ducks under and follows up with a left that Gomi also avoids with ease.

Penderas throws a hook to the side of Gomi's head but Gomi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Penderas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Gomi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Penderas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gomi somewhat.

Gomi scores with a kick to the midsection.
A combination from Penderas does no damage.
Gomi tries to move into range but Penderas moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Gomi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gomi walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Penderas looks to land a right hand but Gomi moved out of range.
Gomi throws the kick towards the body but Penderas avoids it.
