Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Nickerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nickerson comes to the cage accompanied by I Stand Alone. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vincent Nickerson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andre Martin! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Martin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Martin is trying to work for a kimura but Nickerson is defending well.

Martin wants to work for an arm triangle but Nickerson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nickerson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Martin looks gassed! Martin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nickerson trying to control from the bottom.
Nickerson is controlling Martin's trapped leg to prevent Martin from advancing to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Martin throws a right and a left that both miss. A looping hook to the body misses from Nickerson. Martin does a little dance to reset his feet. Martin looks for a takedown but Nickerson sprawls well. Nickerson thows a left - swing and a miss! Vincent Nickerson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Martin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nickerson swivels and escapes. Martin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nickerson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nickerson throws the kick towards the body but Martin avoids it. Nickerson lunges at Martin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Martin's hand. Nickerson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Nickerson misses with a two punch combination.
Martin scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

and Martin counters with a three punch combo that has Nickerson backing up. Nickerson nods at Martin to acknowledge the strikes. Nickerson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Martin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Martin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nickerson tries to roll over but Martin keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nickerson is looking to control Martin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nickerson avoid being mounted? Martin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nickerson actively working from the bottom here. Martin is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nickerson is controlling Martin's position as best he can from this difficult position. Martin seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Nickerson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
