Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Rodey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodey comes to the cage accompanied by none. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Rodey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodey misses with a head kick.
Rodey swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rodey cracks the inside of Sanchez's front leg. Sanchez fails in his attempt to clinch. Horrible takedown by Sanchez or perhaps it was just good defense by Rodey which made him look bad. Rodey avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rodey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Rodey is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Rodey slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rodey is working away from the top position though. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sanchez tries to roll over but Rodey keeps him under control. Sanchez is trying to control but Rodey manages to pass to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sanchez is trying to escape the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rodey avoids the attempt from Sanchez to control. Sanchez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rodey controlling his opponent. Sanchez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Sanchez looks gassed! Rodey controlling the position easily from mount. Sanchez tries to reverse the position but Rodey maintains control. Rodey controlling the pace for now. Rodey looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rodey controlling from the full mount. Rodey punching from mount but Sanchez doing a good job of avoiding damage. Rodey postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sanchez looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rodey prevents Sanchez from getting the reversal. Rodey avoids the attempt from Sanchez to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rodey controlling his opponent. Sanchez tries to hold on but Rodey postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Rodey dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rodey looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sanchez! Rodey controlling from the full mount. Rodey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanchez on the ground.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Sean Rodey just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Sanchez tries to clinch but Rodey is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodey scores with a leg kick.
Rodey takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sanchez is breathing heavily. Sanchez wants to clinch. Sanchez ducks under a wild hook from Rodey. Sanchez shoots and misses and Rodey counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sanchez's knee momentarily. Rodey misses with a looping right. Rodey shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt and Rodey counters with a single leg into guard. Sanchez didn't expect that. Rodey controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Rodey wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving. Sanchez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodey won't allow Sanchez to sweep him here. Sanchez striking off his back but it's not causing Rodey any problems. Sanchez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rodey wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position. Sanchez working a defensive guard here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Sanchez closes the distance looking to clinch and Rodey counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sanchez tries to kick Rodey off but Rodey keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Sanchez trying to control from the bottom.
Sanchez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rodey in particular looking to stall. Sean Rodey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sanchez is trying to maintain the position but Rodey is very close to passing his half guard. Rodey not doing much here.
Sanchez wants to improve his position but Rodey is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rodey stands up from half guard. Rodey gets the takedown into side control. Sanchez stops Rodey from passing to mount. Sanchez wants to control but Rodey postures up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sanchez regains half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sanchez wants to control but Rodey is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Rodey dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Rodey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sanchez. Sanchez fails with the takedown and Rodey counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sanchez is lucky that one didn't land flush. Sanchez misses with a takedown and Rodey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sanchez won't be happy with that. Rodey controlling the position. Sanchez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Sanchez is looking to control Rodey's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sanchez avoid being mounted? Rodey seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sanchez's head. Rodey missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Sanchez gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rodey stopping the sweep attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sanchez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rodey gets to his feet. Sanchez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Sanchez tries to clinch but Rodey moves away and Rodey counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rodey preventing the sweep. Sanchez being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rodey stands up and waves to Sanchez to follow him. Rodey chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Rodey shoots in but Sanchez avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sanchez shoots and misses and Rodey counters with a leg kick. Sean Rodey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Sanchez. Rodey lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sanchez's sensitive parts. Sanchez pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Sanchez fails in his attempt to clinch. Rodey tries for a takedown but Sanchez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. No joy there for Rodey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt and Rodey counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sanchez! Thiago Sanchez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez wants to hold on but Rodey pushes him away. Rodey sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sanchez really wants to buck Rodey off and get back to his feet. Rodey blocks Sanchez's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Rodey controlling the pace for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rodey has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Sean Rodey showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rodey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
