Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Reyne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Reyne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Reyne slams his shin into Jenkins's torso.

Reyne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Poor strikes thrown by Reyne there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Reyne goes for an armbar but Jenkins turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jenkins.
Reyne is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jenkins won't allow Reyne to sweep him here.

Reyne is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jenkins is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Jenkins wants to get up but he can't break Reyne's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Reyne controls Jenkins momentarily but Jenkins frees himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Reyne shoots in for a takedown but Jenkins shows good takedown defense.
Reyne dives in and grabs Jenkins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jenkins pushes down on Reyne's head and hops out.
Jenkins misses with a double jab.
Reyne changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jenkins tries to avoid it but Reyne manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jenkins to the ground. Jenkins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Reyne. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Reyne is breathing heavily.
Jenkins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jenkins is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Reyne prevents Jenkins from standing back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jenkins wants to improve his position but Reyne is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jenkins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Reyne throws a leg kick which misses Jenkins's front leg but catches the back leg as Jenkins tries to avoid it.
Reyne closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jenkins circles away.

Reyne fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jenkins sprawls well initially but Reyne persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Reyne decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jenkins, up you get!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Reyne.
Reyne tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jenkins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Reyne somewhat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jenkins misses with a few strikes there.

Reyne lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Reyne drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Reyne gets to his feet. Jenkins looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Reyne tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jenkins knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Reyne thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jenkins's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reyne is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jenkins to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jenkins shrugs it off.

Reyne lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jenkins hang on?
Jenkins tries to lock up and control but Reyne gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Reyne stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jenkins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jenkins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jenkins throws a right hand that Reyne ducks under and follows up with a left that Reyne also avoids with ease.
A right-left combo lands from Reyne.
Reyne throws a head kick that half lands.

Jenkins tries to keep at a distance but Reyne has taken the fight into the clinch.
Reyne is working for takedown but Jenkins is calmly controlling the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Danga de danga de dang - Jenkins scores with a four punch combination!
Jason Reyne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jenkins takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Reyne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Reyne changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jenkins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Reyne wants to control but Jenkins is keeping him busy.

Reyne looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jenkins is fending him off so far but Reyne persists. Nope, Jenkins circles away and we're back to standing.
Jenkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jenkins is looking to chop away at Reyne's legs.
Reyne ducks under a wild hook from Jenkins.
Reyne has a takedown stuffed.

Reyne postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jenkins to stand up.

Jenkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reyne circles away quickly and effectively.

Reyne shoots in and bounces Jenkins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Well Reyne has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
