Foster comes to the cage accompanied by Friggin In The Riggin. Rotch has chosen Ruff Riders Anthem as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Rotch!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster shoots in for a takedown but Rotch shows good takedown defense.

Rotch gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Foster to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Foster stays in close to Rotch's body and controls the position.
Foster postures up in Rotch's guard and throws a big left but Rotch blocks it.
Rotch looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Foster distracts Rotch with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Rotch looking to control.
Foster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Foster seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foster in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Foster is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Foster missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Foster throwing strikes but missing.
Foster postures up in Rotch's guard and throws a big left but Rotch blocks it.
Rotch is trying to control the position but Foster postures up.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Foster's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Foster postures up.
Rotch wants to get back to his feet but Foster is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Foster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rotch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Foster manages to avoid it.
Foster shoots in looking for a takedown. Rotch tries to sprawl out of it but Foster keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rotch manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Foster has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Foster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rotch defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Foster.

Rotch missing with a left hand there. Foster was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rotch connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Foster.
Foster tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rotch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Foster somewhat.
Foster tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rotch swivels and escapes.
Rotch lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mike Rotch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Foster fails with a takedown attempt.
Foster looks for a takedown but Rotch sprawls well.
Foster is breathing heavily.

Foster fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rotch sprawls well initially but Foster persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Foster throwing shots but Rotch is blocking nicely.
Rotch wants to control but Foster is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Foster not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rotch is looking to improve his position.
Rotch is looking to control Foster's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rotch avoid being mounted?
Rotch slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeremy Foster dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Foster shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rotch but Rotch pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Foster misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Foster looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rotch!
Foster throws some wild stikes that Rotch manages to avoid easily.
Rotch is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Foster lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rotch hang on?
Foster has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rotch's face.
Rotch tries to hold on but Foster postures up.
Rotch is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Foster is staying active.

Rotch holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Foster tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Foster prevents Rotch from getting the reversal.
Foster is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Foster landing strikes, looking to finish!
Rotch taking shots to the head.

Foster scoring with strikes but Rotch is staying in there.
Rotch is still in real trouble! Can Foster finish him?
Foster postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Rotch out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Foster goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
