Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micky Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mouse has chosen (hed) pe - Let's Ride as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerald Watson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Micky Mouse!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouse scoring well with a low kick there.
Mouse lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Watson backs up against the cage.
Mouse throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Watson checks a low kick from Mouse.
Watson shoots in but no luck this time.
Mouse throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Watson checks the leg kick.
Mouse throws a big shot that misses.
Mouse misses with a jab, cross combination.
Micky Mouse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mouse doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mouse keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mouse throws a lazy right hand but Watson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Watson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mouse stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Watson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Watson lands in his opponent's guard.

Watson connects with a couple of short punches.

Watson forces his way into half guard.
Mouse is looking to improve his position.
Mouse is looking to escape.

Watson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mouse has managed to free his arm - good work.
Mouse avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Watson.
Mouse keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Mouse is looking to improve his position.
Watson blocks the strikes from Mouse.
Mouse is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Watson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Mouse will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Watson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Mouse moves out of range of the body kick from Watson.
Mouse throws a leg kick but Watson checks it.
Mouse throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Watson misses with a low kick.

Watson scores a takedown into full mount!
Mouse tries to lock up and control but Watson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mouse gets back to half guard.
Mouse wants to control but Watson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mouse wants to improve his position but Watson is controlling well.
Mouse is looking to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mouse can do anything to dispel that myth.
Watson works his foot free and advances to mount.
Watson controlling his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Watson lands a heavy elbow.
Watson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mouse looks a forlorn figure.

Watson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mouse to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mouse shrugs it off.

Watson blocks Mouse's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Mouse is looking to get to half guard.

Watson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mouse can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Watson scoring with strikes but Mouse is staying in there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mouse keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mouse is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Mouse is looking to improve his position but Watson isn't that keen on the idea.
Watson raining down shots from the mount!
Watson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Watson trying to control but Mouse is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mouse tries to hold on but Watson postures up.
Watson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gerald Watson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Watson looks to land a body kick but Mouse moved away.
Watson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mouse sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Watson somewhat.
Mouse swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Watson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mouse's half guard.
Watson is trying to control. Mouse wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Mouse wants to control but Watson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Gerald Watson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Watson is keen to just control but Mouse is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watson not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Watson lands strikes from half guard.
Watson tries to pass to full mount but Mouse defends it.
Mouse preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Mouse is looking for a sweep. Watson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mouse is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Watson wants to pass the guard but Mouse is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mouse lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Watson circles away quickly and effectively.
Watson avoids the body shot from Mouse.
Mouse swings for the body but Watson moves out of range.
Mouse throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mouse fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Watson manages to avoid it.
Micky Mouse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mouse shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Watson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mouse!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Watson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Watson scoring with strikes but Mouse is staying in there.
Mouse is looking to get to half guard.
Watson tries to control but Mouse wriggling away.
Watson tries to push Mouse's head away but Mouse is holding on tight.

Mouse is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Watson postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Mouse in real trouble here! The ref calls for Mouse to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gerald Watson!
