The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaananen stuffs the takedown.

Myres throws a head kick that Vaananen semi-blocks.
Vaananen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Myres, pushing him back against the cage.

Robby Myres seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Myres on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Myres misses with a series of wild punches.

Vaananen swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Myres.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vaananen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Myres as he jumps to the side.
Vaananen scores with a nice strike.
Myres ducks right into an uppercut from Vaananen.
Vaananen lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Myres falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
