The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Nurwo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Durden shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nurwo defends it nicely.

Nurwo stalks Durden and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Durden's face. Durden staggers backwards, shaken.
Nurwo just misses with a punch to the body.
Nurwo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Nurwo.
Durden closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nurwo did well to prevent Durden getting side control.

Durden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Durden shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nurwo is trying to defend but Durden finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Durden shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Durden was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Durden postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nurwo looks a forlorn figure.

Durden has control of Nurwo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nurwo regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Nurwo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Nurwo feints and then cracks Durden's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Durden down.

Nurwo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Durden's sensitive parts.

Nurwo scores with a one two! Durden had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Durden walks into a stiff left hand from Nurwo.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Durden closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Durden lands in his opponent's guard.

Tyler Durden overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Nurwo wants to get back to his feet but Durden is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nurwo wants to stand up but Durden is controlling him.

Nurwo is looking to regain half guard here but Durden keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Durden cracks Nurwo with a big right hand but Nurwo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Durden tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Durden has hold of Nurwo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Nurwo seems comfortable defending it but Durden has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Nurwo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Nurwo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Durden couldn't care less - he's delighted!
