Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aja Usw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasiliy Lebedenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aja Usw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vasiliy Lebedenko! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Usw comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Lebedenko doesn't manage to clinch there - Usw circles away.
Lebedenko tries to clinch up. Lebedenko wants to clinch up but Usw keeps it at a distance. Nice sprawl there from Usw as Lebedenko shoots in. Lebedenko darts in and clinches Usw up against the cage. Lebedenko wants the takedown. Usw is fighting it off but Lebedenko persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Usw's guard against the cage. Lebedenko cracks Usw with a solid left hand. Usw has his foot on Lebedenko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lebedenko works his way back into a safe position though. Lebedenko throws a strike but Usw rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Usw tries to stand but Lebedenko is controlling from the bottom. Usw drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lebedenko dives on top into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lebedenko throws a big right hand that misses. Lebedenko postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Lebedenko working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lebedenko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lebedenko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lebedenko's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Usw is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lebedenko throwing strikes from guard but Usw blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Usw avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Usw preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lebedenko with a flurry of punches that miss. Usw isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lebedenko stacks Usw on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lebedenko! Check out the look on Lebedenko's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lebedenko in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Usw defending against the ground and pound. Lebedenko lands some shots froms side control. Usw is breathing heavily. Lebedenko cracks Usw with a big right hand but Usw just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Lebedenko looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. A control attempt from Usw but he's now mounted! Lebedenko cracks Usw with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lebedenko is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Usw is surviving well by controlling Lebedenko's body position as best he can. Lebedenko is in the full mount, landing strikes. Lebedenko postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Usw looks a forlorn figure.

Usw gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Lebedenko feints and as Usw raises his hands in defense, Lebedenko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lebedenko throws a strike but Usw rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Lebedenko is pulling down on Usw's head to control his posture. Lebedenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Usw drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lebedenko manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Usw has Lebedenko in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lebedenko content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Lebedenko scoring with some ground and pound. Usw throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lebedenko passes easily into side control. Nice work. Lebedenko lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Lebedenko cracks Usw with a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lebedenko lands a few punches from side control.

He has the arm isolated but Usw is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vasiliy Lebedenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lebedenko not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lebedenko throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lebedenko has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lebedenko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Lebedenko thows a huge punch but Usw dodges it nicely.
