Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Reid! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Reid. Reid throws a head kick but Steel moves out of range.
Reid fails in his attempt to clinch. Steel fails to land with a series of punches.
Steel scores with a sloppy right hand. Reid should have avoided that one. Reid rushes Steel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Reid prevents the takedown attempt.
Reid is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Steel is trying to drag Reid to the mat but Reid just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Reid content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Reid gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Steel won't allow Reid to pass to mount. Reid wants to stand up but Steel has a hold of him and won't allow it. Reid is trying to control the action in half guard but Steel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Steel is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reid pulls his head out easily.

Reid is trying to control the action in half guard but Steel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reid pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Steel has closed the distance and engaged Reid in a clinch.
Steel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reid walks away with a smile on his face. Steel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Steel. That's going to take a lot out of him. A punch combination from Reid misses. Steel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A looping hook to the body misses from Reid. Steel does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Reid dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Steel is breathing heavily. Reid scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Steel sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Reid missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Steel landing small, sideways elbows. Steel won't allow Reid to pass to mount. Reid prevents Steel from standing back up.
Reid looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Reid is keen to just control but Steel is a slippery customer. Steel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reid is working away from the top position though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Reid moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel blocks the elbow strike.
Reid is leaning against Steel and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Reid manages to break the clinch.
Reid shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Steel napping and manages to drive through into side control! You can see the frustration on Steel's face as Reid controls the position. Reid really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Reid taking a break here but Steel is having none of it and regains half guard. Reid is trying to control. Steel wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Steel trying to control but Reid postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Reid dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Steel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reid counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Reid. Reid controlling from the top position. Reid wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Steel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Reid dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Reid shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Steel preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reid wants to get back to his feet.
Reid is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Steel wants to improve his position but Reid is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Steel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Reid is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Reid postures up.
Reid slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Steel throwing short punches from the bottom. Reid trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reid won't allow Steel to get back to his feet. Reid wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Steel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reid defends well. Steel trying to strike off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel is trying to keep Reid in close.
Reid working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Reid looking to pass the guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Reid is figuring out what he wants to do next. Reid wants to take a breather but Steel is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reid is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Steel kicks Reid off and gets back to his feet. Steel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reid holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Steel drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Reid has Steel pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Reid pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Steel tumbling to the mat - Reid dives into Steel's guard. Reid missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Reid showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Steel misses with a takedown attempt and Reid counters with a takedown into side control. Steel is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Reid decides to take the fight back to the feet. Reid throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Steel was covering up waiting for the punch and Reid finishes the takedown easily into guard. Steel pushes Reid off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Reid closes this distance looking for a takedown but Steel circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel tries for a takedown but Reid circles away easily so Reid counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Steel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Steel wants to sweep but no luck. Steel is working hard here to advance position. Reid trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reid pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Steel is keeping the position for now. Steel manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel with shots to the head and body - Reid looks very uncomfortable down there. Reid is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Steel fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Reid is in all sorts of trouble here.
Steel avoids the attempt from Reid to control. Steel has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Reid's face.
Steel scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Reid?
Steel looking for a guillotine from mount but Reid is having none of it. Reid is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Reid tries to reverse the position but Steel maintains control. Reid is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Reid wants to control but Steel is having none of it. Shane Steel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Steel lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
A nice elbow there by Steel. Steel punishing his opponent with strikes. Steel wants to finish this one by submission but Reid is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Steel. Steel goes for an armbar but Reid turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Reid. Reid must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Reid looking to pass the guard. Michael Reid is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Steel looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Reid comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Reid has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
