Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Odin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thorstein Bald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Thorstein Bald enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kim Odin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thorstein Bald! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bald shoots in but no luck this time. Odin moves into the clinch. Odin manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Odin can't break the clinch.
Bald changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Odin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bald shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Odin pinned against the cage. Odin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kim Odin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thorstein Bald. Odin doesn't manage to clinch there - Bald circles away.
Odin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown by Bald or perhaps it was just good defense by Odin which made him look bad. Odin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bald as he jumps to the side. Odin scores with a takedown into Bald's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Odin wants to control from the top but Bald keeps moving. Bald has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Odin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bald. Bald tries to improve position but can't. Odin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Odin is breathing heavily. Bald is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Odin asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Odin content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Bald is trying to control Odin's posture but Odin avoids it. Odin is working Bald over with some ground and pound from side control. Bald tries to improve position but can't. Bald wants to control but Odin postures up. Odin just content to control the position. Bald tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bald wants to control but Odin postures up. Odin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bald has escaped the position, nice work there. Bald is trying to control Odin's posture but Odin avoids it. Odin avoids the strikes from the bottom by Bald.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Odin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bald but Bald pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bald lands with a kick to the temple. Odin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Kim Odin has been cut. Bald is looking to land body kicks. Bald fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Bald throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Odin. Bald just misses with a punch to the body.
Bald shoots for a takedown but Odin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Odin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Odin is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Bald really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Odin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Odin has hold of Bald's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Bald seems comfortable defending it but Odin has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Bald is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Bald is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Odin couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kim Odin!
