The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
velazquez stuffs the takedown attempt from Figth. Figth gets slowly back to his feet.
Figth fails to land the takedown.
velazquez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Figth to the mat! Figth manages to get full guard.
velazquez stands and throws Figth's legs to the side, diving into side control.
velazquez moves into full mount!
velazquez scoring with strikes but Figth is staying in there.
velazquez looking to finish Figth with some ground and pound. This is bad for Figth!
Figth is desperately trying to improve his position but velazquez has a good base and remains in mount.

Figth in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

velazquez fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Figth has left one of his arms exposed and velazquez doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Figth screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
